Senior/Advanced pharmacy technician (AfC Bands 6 and above)

Technicians within our senior management structure have responsibility for managing teams within pharmacy. They have significant experience in leadership and management activity, leading on local and national policy, projects and initiatives and managing staff within their site or directorate. They work independently to plan, organise, and manage the medication needs of a service or group of patients. They will have undertaken further accreditation and training to advance their pharmaceutical knowledge and skill and undertake leadership, management, or research activity. All senior/advanced pharmacy technicians undertake patient-facing roles, including primary care, supporting patients to get the best use of their medicines and to live independently.
