Healthcare Science & Allied Health Professions

At Swansea Bay University Health Board, the Executive Director of Therapies and Health Science provides leadership on all aspects of corporate governance for the therapy and health science professions and holds professional accountability and responsibility for all staff regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

The Director of Therapies and Health Science is the principal lead and source of advice to the Board on all aspects of therapy and health science services. The Director of Therapies and Health Science plays a central leadership role in developing the strategic direction and promoting innovation and research; working in partnership with the Medical Director and Director of Nursing and the wider executive team. The Director ensures that therapy and health science staff are engaged and focussed on improving the health and wellbeing of our populations, reducing health inequalities and embedding a culture of continuous improvement in the quality of our care provision.
