Senior ATO / Senior pharmacy assistant (AfC Band 4)

Assistants within our senior management structure will have undertaken extended accreditation to enhance their understanding and delivery of pharmacy service. They work alongside pharmacy technicians in the management of discharges and assessment of patient medicines across hospital wards. They also work in aseptics, having undertaken further qualifications for pre and in-process checking duties and may also gain registration with the Science Council by undertaking a two-year, Level 3 Science Manufacturing Qualification. Duties also include supervision of pharmacy assistants and responsibility for team leadership and the training and education of others.
